The Rev. Dr. Carol J. Jablonski

Carol was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and grew up in Wisconsin, Indiana and Pennsylvania.

She received a BA in English at Allegheny College, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and continued her education at Purdue University, where she earned her MA and PhD in Communication.

Before becoming a priest, Carol taught at the University of Virginia, Indiana University, and the University of South Florida. She also spent a year as a Visiting Professor at Wake Forest University.

Carol began attending the Episcopal Church in 1996 and was received in 2000. She entered the ordination process in 2001, and attended Virginia Theological Seminary from 2003-2006, where she earned a Masters in Divinity and was awarded the Harris Prize for academic excellence, leadership ability, and personal qualities of fitness for ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church. Carol was ordained to the transitional diaconate in the Diocese of Southwest Florida in June, 2006 and made a priest in February 2006.

Before coming to St. Andrew’s, Carol served as a Curate and Associate Rector at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Durham, North Carolina. She and her husband, Tyler Jones, live in University Park with their cat (“Pookie”) and enjoy hiking, gardening, and traveling to National Parks.
