Meet the Interim Rector

Welcome to St. Andrew's!

Greetings! What a joy to have been called as your Interim Rector. I have appreciated your warm welcome as I have wandered through the halls and the neighborhood. I was initially drawn to your mission statement to be a welcoming and supportive community that is willing to risk and grow into who God has called you to be. That is a courageous stance to take and one that I wanted to be a part of. I look forward to getting to know you as you begin to articulate who you are in this "in between time" and who you want to be as your new Rector arrives. I am excited to meet you all and welcome others as we explore ministry and mission together over the course of the next year.

About Our Interim Rector

The Rev. Glenna Huber has been a priest in The Diocese of Maryland since 2009. During this time her ministry has focused on issues unique to urban congregations and the surrounding neighborhoods. She has served as Vicar in three settings in Baltimore with a consistent ministry at The Church of the Holy Nativity, located in Lower Park Heights. Prior to joining the Diocese of Maryland Rev. Huber served for eight years in the Diocese of Atlanta, her sponsoring Diocese.

In an effort to continue to engage and act on systemic justice concerns, Rev. Huber serves on a variety of national, state, and local boards and commissions. These include The Episcopal Urban Caucus, The Maryland Truth and Reconciliation education sub-committee, and Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development, a IAF affiliate.

Rev. Huber earned her M. Div. at The General Theological Seminary in NY, and her undergraduate degree at Spelman College in Atlanta. She and her husband are currently raising Jonas (3yrs) and Adayah (1yr).
